The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) don revoke the licence of Oritsemeyin Rig, wey Selective Marine Services Ltd dey operate.
NUPRC say na because of serious safety lapses during drilling for UDIBE-2 well, wey lead to dangerous “kick” wey nearly cause blowout. Dem say despite warning letters since June, the company no fit correct the wahala.
NUPRC order say the rig no go ever renew licence again and warn other operators make dem respect international safety standard.
