Federal High Court for Abuja don throway Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji case wey him take beg court make dem stop University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) from release him school records.
Justice Hausa Yilwa deliver di ruling on September 22 and talk say di Minister request no get better ground.
Nnaji bin carry di matter come court with one motion (FHC/ABJ/CS/1909/2025), wey he wan make di court stop UNN from touch or show him academic record, and also make dem release him transcript.
But di judge talk say even though Nnaji get interest for di matter, him no fit stop UNN from do wetin dem suppose do.
“I find say di applicant get interest, but di request wey go stop UNN no fit hold water,” Justice Yilwa talk.
Later, di Vice-Chancellor of UNN, Prof. Simon Ortuanya, write one letter wey show say di university no get any record say Nnaji graduate from di school.
“From our record, we no fit confirm say Mr. Geoffrey Uchechukwu Nnaji graduate for July 1985. We no get record say he complete him study,” di letter talk.
Di school also remind say dem don tell Public Complaints Commission before say di man no finish him study, so dem no fit give am certificate.
Inside him own court paper, Nnaji talk say he never collect him certificate because of wahala with di school, but claim say he graduate with Second Class (Lower) for Microbiology/Biochemistry.
Nnaji carry di Minister of Education, National Universities Commission, UNN, di VC, Registrar, Prof. Oguejiofor Ujam and di school Senate go court as respondents.
