Na Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, talk am for plenary on Tuesday. E say the Senate don already approve ₦1.15 trillion domestic borrowing wey President Bola Tinubu ask for, so government go fit use am clear the debt.
Plenty contractors don gather for gate of National Assembly since Monday, block road and stop lawmakers from entering because dem never collect money for work wey dem do for government.
Akpabio beg dem make dem calm down. “We don approve borrowing to pay una, make una just give government small time,” he talk.
Inside the same sitting, Akpabio talk about one fake news wey claim say he reply Donald Trump after the former U.S. President talk say “Christian genocide” dey happen for Nigeria. Akpabio deny am sharp sharp, say na lie.
“Who I be wey I go reply President Trump?” Akpabio ask, say e don already report the matter to police and DSS, and even take legal action against the blogger wey carry the fake story.
He warn Nigerians make dem stop to spread false story wey fit cause wahala for the country. E also order Cybercrime Unit make dem catch people wey dey spread fake news about Senate and government.
Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, come joke say, “Oga President, you dey fear Trump?” but he remind everybody say Nigeria na sovereign country and no dey under any foreign control.
Akpabio still talk say the country need peace and unity pass anything else. “Nigeria wahala suppose make we unite, no divide us. Na peace we need,” he talk.
