One faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) wey dey backed by FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, don release new disclaimer to confirm say 18 well-known politicians don dey officially expelled from the party.
The disclaimer wey National Secretary of the faction, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, sign on Wednesday warn Nigerians make dem shine their eyes because “impostors” still dey waka up and down dey claim say dem be PDP members.
According to the faction, the expulsion happen on November 18 through the National Executive Committee, based on the PDP Constitution wey dem amend for 2017.
Those wey their names appear for the expulsion list include Bauchi Governor Bala Mohammed, Zamfara Governor Dauda Lawal, and Oyo Governor Seyi Makinde.
Former Akwa Ibom Governor Udom Emmanuel, former Senate President Adolphus Wabara, and former Deputy National Chairman (South) Taofeek Arapaja also dey among the people wey dem sack.
Others na former Minister Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, Presidential Adviser Ben Obi, PDP elder Chief Bode George, former Acting National Chairman Umar Damagum, plus Okechukwu Obiechina, Emmanuel Ogidi, Emmanuel Ebien, Suleiman Kadade Mohammed, Sunmaila Adamu Bunza, Koshoedo Setonji, Daniel Woyengikuro and Umar Sani.
The faction talk say e dey embarrassing say some of these expelled members still dey talk and act like PDP leaders. Dem tell party people and Nigerians make dem ignore any meeting or statement from the expelled group.
Dem specifically rubbish one meeting wey happen for Ibadan, call am “mere social gathering” and no be PDP national convention as dem claim.
“Anybody wey dey parade himself as newly elected national officer na impostor,” Anyanwu talk.
This new disclaimer land just one day after the Turaki-led faction issue counter-statement say Wike, Anyanwu, Fayose and others no be PDP members again.
As both groups dey sack each other left and right, the crisis inside the PDP don worsen, with each faction claiming say na dem be the real party leadership.
