
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu don approve allocation of land for ambassadors-designate and, as e be, the move aim to strengthen Nigeria diplomatic presence and give envoys base for Abuja. Meanwhile, Nyesom Wike confirm the development during meeting with the diplomats.

Wike make the announcement on Wednesday when he receive the ambassadors for im residence for Life Camp, Abuja. However, the delegation wey come for courtesy visit na part of induction programme and e led by Dunoma Umar Ahmed.

According to Wike, the president take the decision so that Nigerian ambassadors go get permanent place to stay anytime dem return to Abuja for official briefings.
“The President believe say most of una no get place for Abuja, so he want make una apply for land to build where una go dey stay,” Wike talk, adding say forms for allocation go available immediately.
Furthermore, beyond the land allocation, the minister charge the envoys to represent Nigeria well on global stage, stressing say dem be mirror of the country.
In addition, he urge them to support government economic diplomacy efforts, noting say President Tinubu don travel widely to attract foreign investment and partnerships.
“You must build confidence for Nigeria as better place for investment,” Wike emphasise.
On the other hand, Wike also address concerns about Nigeria democracy, insisting say the country still remain multi-party system and no plan dey to turn am into one-party state.
Moreover, he highlight development progress for Abuja, pointing to infrastructure growth across area councils like Abaji, AMAC, Bwari, Gwagwalada, Kuje and Kwali as signs say the capital dey expand fast.
He also call on the envoys to attract investors into key sectors like agriculture and waste management, especially for areas like Gwagwalada and Kwali where land still dey underutilised.
Interestingly, Wike reveal say Federal Capital Territory dey explore partnerships with countries like Saudi Arabia and Egypt, and also planning engagement with European Commission to boost development cooperation.
Earlier, Ahmed explain say the visit na to show ambassadors the importance of Abuja as Nigeria diplomatic and administrative centre, especially at this critical stage of national development.
