NDC Extend Deadline For Expression Of Interest Forms
Di Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) don extend di deadline for collection of Expression of Interest Forms for aspirants wey wan contest for State Houses of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate and Governorship positions ahead of di 2027 general elections.
For statement wey di party release, NDC tok say di earlier deadline wey suppose end by 6pm on Sunday, May 17, 2026, don now shift to 12 midnight on Sunday, May 24, 2026.
Di party also announce say screening exercise for aspirants wey don buy and complete dia Expression of Interest Forms go begin from Tuesday, May 19, 2026, and end by 6pm on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
According to di statement, collection and return of Nomination Forms for aspirants wey pass screening go start on Wednesday, May 20, and close on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
NDC warn all aspirants to strictly obey di deadline because no additional extension go happen after di final closing date.
However, di party confirm say collection of Expression of Interest Forms for di Office of di President don officially close.
Di party direct all aspirants to appear for screening and pre-qualification interviews for designated venues across di country wit required documents including educational certificates, birth certificate or declaration of age, four recent passport photographs, voter’s card, NDC membership card and curriculum vitae.
According to NDC, all documents wey aspirants submit to di Screening Committee must be in six copies each.
Di party explain say screening go depend on factors like wishes of di electorate, local peculiarities, competence, capacity and character of aspirants.
NDC also instruct di Screening Committee to consider di party affirmative action policy for women, youths and persons living with disabilities during di screening process.
Di statement further encourage aspirants to pursue consensus-building, adding say only cleared aspirants go qualify to buy Nomination Forms.
All aspirants were advised to strictly follow di guidelines and timelines released by di party.
