Minister of State for Works, Bello Goronyo, give di order on Thursday as him dey inspect di project. He say di hold-up for Nyanya–Maraba don too much and commuters dey complain everyday.
He talk say di project na 43.6km and 41km don already complete. But di remaining 3km dey delay because of waterlogging. To solve am, contractor China Harbour go now work for night to avoid daytime congestion.
Goronyo warn say December 2026 deadline dey sacrosanct. “We no go accept excuses. This road too important to Nigerians,” he talk.
Di project dey cost N73.9bn and NNPC dey fund am under Road Infrastructure Tax Credit Scheme.
