- Big men for African Democratic Congress (ADC) don gather for one important closed-door meeting for Abuja to discuss how the party go move forward and build better political system.
The meeting wey David Mark, former Senate President and current ADC National Chairman, chair, get plenty top party members like Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola (National Secretary), Babachir Lawal (former SGF), and Prof. Oserheimen Osunbor (former Edo State Governor), among others.
Before dem enter private session, Mark talk for members of the National Working Committee say ADC no go follow the same old political way wey dey put personal gain above national interest.
He talk say the mission of the party no be just to hold power but to leave strong legacy wey Nigerians go remember.
In him words, “We no dey run this race for small show. We dey run marathon. We must win — failure no be option.”
Mark talk say ADC wan become one institution “wey big pass any single person and strong pass any moment,” and go represent true leadership wey go put citizens first.
He describe the party as pan-African, people-focused, and movement wey dey stand for the needs of ordinary people — retirees, persons with disabilities, and the vulnerable.
Mark still talk say the party leadership stand on four solid pillars: character, competence, courage and discipline.
He hail ADC leaders wey “choose service over comfort” and talk say even though the road no go easy, the party go continue to push forward together.
“The road no go smooth, but we no go stop. Democracy get enemies, but we go advance — calm, brave and united,” Mark talk.
The meeting na the first official gathering of the ADC National Working Committee since David Mark take over as chairman.
