Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, don para say e no go gree for anybody wey dey grab land for di state. Di governor don vow say any structure wey land grabbers don build for government land go face demolition without delay.
For one statement wey im Chief Press Secretary, Fred Itua, sign, Okpebholo give final warning to all di people wey dey sell, buy or build for Lot A land wey dem dey call Coral City, wey dey inside di Obagie Acquisition area for Benin City.
Okpebholo talk say di whole Obagie Acquisition na government land, but im government don dey work on plan to return Lots B, C and D give their original owners and people wey truly get di land. E talk say di move na part of im government promise to make land matter for Edo State fair, transparent and accountable.
According to di governor, “This notice na di final and strong warning to all land grabbers and encroachers for government land, especially for Lot A (Coral City) and other parts of Edo. Anybody wey continue to build or do business for dis area go face wahala — we go demolish di structure and prosecute di people wey do am.”
Okpebholo still beg Edo people make dem no fall victim of fake land sellers or speculators wey dey use government property make money. E talk say government go continue to protect real landowners and promote order for land management across di state.
