The Anioma State Creation Movement don hail di National Assembly Joint Committee on Constitution Review for approving di proposal to add one new state for di South-East zone.

Di lawmakers talk say make Nigeria create one more state for di South-East to balance am with other regions for fairness and equity.

According to Anioma Movement, di approval na big milestone for di Igbo people wey don dey fight for long to get equal number of states.

“Anioma people support di plan well-well. Senator Ned Nwoko don dey push di matter tire to make Anioma State reality this year. Even if some people dey try frustrate am, na referendum go show wetin di people really want,” di statement talk.

Di group praise Senator Ned Nwoko as di “living convener” of Anioma dream, say him don revive di spirit wey di late Premier of Mid-West Region, Dennis Osadebe, start.

Dem believe say creating Anioma State go give Igbo people more political and economic power and help balance Nigeria federal system.

“Every zone for Nigeria suppose get seven states each like North-West. Anioma State must happen this year with other new states,” di statement add.

On top money matter, di group say people wey talk say Nigeria no get money to create new states no dey correct.

“Na mismanagement be di problem, no be lack of funds. Federal allocation don pass ₦2 trillion recently. If government manage am well, more states no go be wahala,” Oganah talk.

E still add say creating new states go bring more jobs, local government, and development.

“More states mean more governors, more offices, and more opportunities for people,” e add.

Di group still talk say Anioma State naturally belong to di South-East because dem share language and culture with other Igbo communities.

“Anioma people na Igbo—we speak di language, wear red cap, eat Akpu, and answer Igbo names,” di statement conclude.
