The Federal Executive Council (FEC) don give green light to build new official houses for big judges wey dey head key federal courts, plus approve new water and infrastructure projects for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike, yarn dis one when e talk to State House journalists after the FEC meeting wey President Bola Tinubu chair for Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Wike talk say the approval cover design and construction of official residences for the President of Court of Appeal, the President of Industrial Court, the Chief Judge of Federal High Court, and the Chief Judge of FCT High Court.

“Council don ratify the design and construction of official houses for all the federal court heads. Work don already start, and we don arrange everything to make sure e finish quick,” Wike talk.

The minister still announce say FEC don approve new water projects wey go serve some satellite towns like Karu, Karshi, Orozo, and Bwari.

“Mr President don earlier open one of the Greater Abuja Water projects and promise say e go extend am reach the satellite towns. Dis new phase don start, and by May next year, we go commission am,” Wike yarn.

E still talk say Council don ratify the rehabilitation work for the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, wey dem do under emergency arrangement.

“You go remember say the President order make we fix the International Conference Centre before the last ECOWAS Parliament inauguration. Now the work don complete and President don open am,” he talk.

Wike also talk say Council don approve new contract for engineering infrastructure inside Maitama II District for Abuja.

“The project first start like five years ago but e no move. When Mr President enter office, he cancel the old contract. Now Council don approve new one,” Wike explain.

He talk say the Maitama II District project go cover more than 786 hectares of land, plenty of which dem don already allocate without any basic infrastructure.

“Na big project wey we go give full attention so that we fit open up the district well,” the minister talk.
