Abuja — President Bola Tinubu don send one emissary, Dr Abiodun Essiet, go Plateau State to help restore peace and improve community harmony for di state.

According to di statement, Essiet — wey be Senior Special Assistant on Community Engagement (North Central Zone) — don spend two days for Plateau, where she meet Christian clerics and Fulani Miyetti Allah leaders. Di engagements later lead to one town hall meeting for Jos, di state capital.

Delegates from different LGAs, traditional rulers, women groups and youth leaders gather discuss how to strengthen community peace structures and encourage better coexistence among di diverse communities.

Essiet also visit Rev Ezekiel Dachomo, Chairman of Regional Church Council (RCC) for Barkin Ladi, where dem talk about faith-based leadership and how religion fit push peace, unity and social development. She also meet widows for di area and deliver President Tinubu’s message about promoting ethnic reconciliation.

Reports show say Dachomo na one of di strongest voices for Christian communities for Plateau.

Di statement still talk say Essiet meet Fulani leaders for Barkin Ladi to promote dialogue and understanding between farming and pastoral communities. She reassure dem say Federal Government dey committed to inclusive engagement.

Later, she hold workshop on creating community peace structures for all 17 LGAs for Jos.

She also get closed-door meeting with Irigwe community leaders, Miyetti Allah representatives, and youth council from Bassa LGA. Dem discuss how to sustain peace and strengthen di 17-member peace committee for better dialogue and reconciliation.
