Masari talk say this one no be ordinary conference but the foundation of a “forward-looking” plan wey go help schools prevent, detect and respond to any threat—whether banditry, kidnapping or cyberattack.

He say di master plan go:

– promote intelligence-led security operations
– improve risk management for campuses
– protect students, staff, buildings and school property
– boost teamwork between schools, security agencies and host communities
– strengthen emergency response, crisis management and business continuity
– combine modern physical and digital security technologies into campus operations

Masari add say wetin dem discuss for the workshop go form the national document wey go guide campus security and government investment for many years.

For him own contribution, TETFund Executive Secretary, Sonny Echono, warn say many campuses still dey porous and criminals dey see dem as soft target because plenty vulnerable people full there.

Echono remind people say dem don do mapping before wey identify high-risk zones, but talk say collaboration among police, military and NSCDC still need serious improvement.

He talk say: “We must face reality. Campuses dey attract criminals because dem easy to invade. We need stronger communication channel to alert and respond quickly.”

Masari conclude say Nigerian campuses dey face increasing threats like kidnapping, banditry and online attack, and the new master plan go help institutions prepare well and respond faster.
