Nafiu BalaThe African Democratic Congress (ADC) don call on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies to launch an investigation into Nafiu Bala over an alleged fake document linked to the 2027 General Election.
The party made the call after INEC reportedly dismissed a document circulating online, which allegedly showed that Nafiu Bala had gained access to the Commission’s restricted candidate nomination portal and uploaded candidates on behalf of the ADC.
According to INEC, the document was forged, and the claim was completely false.

In a statement signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC said the issue is no longer just about false claims but an alleged deliberate attempt to deceive the Nigerian public.
The party argued that claiming to have accessed INEC’s highly restricted nomination portal and exercised powers reserved for recognised party officials is a serious allegation that should not be ignored.
ADC therefore urged INEC to work with relevant law enforcement agencies to investigate Nafiu Bala and anyone else allegedly involved in creating or circulating the document.
According to the party, anyone found culpable should be prosecuted in line with the law.
The ADC stressed that protecting the integrity of Nigeria’s electoral process is critical as preparations for the 2027 general elections continue.
