Tinubu Appoint Wasiu Olanrewaju-Smart as Special Adviser on National Assembly Matters
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu don appoint Dr. Wasiu Olanrewaju-Smart as the new Special Adviser to the President on National Assembly Matters (House of Representatives).
According to statement wey Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy sign, Olanrewaju-Smart go replace Ibrahim Olanrewaju, wey resign from the position to contest elective office for him state.
The statement describe the new appointee as experienced scholar and public policy expert wey get academic qualifications from Lead City University, Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and London School of Public Relations.
Before this appointment, Olanrewaju-Smart don serve for different leadership positions inside the House of Representatives, including Chief of Staff to the Speaker during the 9th and 10th National Assembly. For October 2023, he also join the Presidency as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Intergovernmental Affairs.
President Tinubu express confidence say the new Special Adviser go use him experience strengthen relationship between the Presidency, Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), and the House of Representatives to improve legislative cooperation.
The appointment take effect immediately.
