Federal Government don increase allowances for civil servants and boost welfare benefits, as part of effort to improve take-home pay and worker morale across Nigeria public service.

Didi Walson-Jack disclose this during briefing for Abuja, saying the increment go affect workers under CONPSS and CONRAISS salary structures.
Allowances reviewed across board
According to her, the new adjustment cover both junior and senior officers, with improvements across all grade levels.
Some of the key allowances wey government review include:
- Duty Tour Allowance (DTA)
- Estacode
- Book allowance
One major change be approval of 100% DTA for training, even if the civil servant no travel go another location.
New retirement benefit introduced
FG also introduce new exit benefit scheme for retiring workers under pension system.
The scheme go give retirees 100% of their full emoluments as exit package, in addition to pension, starting from January 1, 2026.
Employee compensation scheme
Government also activate Employee Compensation Scheme to support workers wey suffer injury or die for workplace.
This one go provide financial protection for civil servants and their families.
Part of wider reforms
The development come as labour unions don dey push for better welfare due to rising cost of living.
The move also follow previous salary increase of 25% to 35% wey FG approve for different salary structures.
Oyo govt adds transport support

Meanwhile, Seyi Makinde don announce ₦10,000 monthly transport support for civil servants in Oyo State.
According to him, the allowance go run for three months to help workers cope with rising transport costs and economic pressure.
