The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) don join hand open free business registration for 250,000 nano, micro and small enterprises (MSMEs)across Nigeria.

Dem announce am for Abuja on Friday as both oga sign Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to kick-start the programme.

The two agencies talk say the move na part of wetin dem dey do to mark two years in office of CAC Registrar-General, Hussaini Magaji, and SMEDAN DG, Charles Odii.

Magaji yarn say under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Renewed Hope agenda, government dey break barriers for hustlers:

“We dey give 250,000 businesses free registration, wey suppose cost about N3bn. Na our way to help dem get legit name, open door for finance, and growth.”

Odii add say the move go reduce illegal biz and cut down the rate wey small biz dey collapse for Naija.

“Once you dey SMEDAN database without CAC registration, na free slot be that. For people wey no sabi online, SMEDAN state offices go help dem do am sharp-sharp.”

Dem confirm say upcoming CAC fee review no go affect this free registration package.
