The Federal Government of Nigeria don set up special technical committee to review one massive $200 billion project wey go combine gas, power and high-speed rail development across the country.

Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, wey inaugurate the committee for Abuja, talk say the project go help modernise Nigeria transport system, improve energy supply and boost the economy.
According to am, the project go connect major cities like Lagos, Abuja, Kano and Port Harcourt through about 4,000km high-speed rail network.
Akume explain say the plan also include gas development and power generation, wey go help strengthen Nigeria energy security and support industrial growth.
The government say the committee go carefully check the project details, including technical, legal and environmental aspects, before dem give final recommendation.
Akume still urge members of the committee make dem work with professionalism and follow international best practices.
The committee get representatives from key ministries like transport, petroleum, finance, justice and environment, alongside agencies like EFCC, DSS and Central Bank.
Meanwhile, Managing Director of De-Sadel Nigeria Limited, Samuel Ukoh, say the project go reduce travel time between cities by about 75 percent and generate around 3,500 megawatts of power to run the rail system independently.
The project, if approved, fit become one of the biggest infrastructure developments for Nigeria and change how transportation and energy dey work for the country.
