Ex-Soldiers Don Vex Again, Resume Protest for Abuja Over Unpaid Benefits

Dem don suspend protest before on August 4, after dem meet with Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Finance people wey promise say dem go clear the money before August 10. But as the deadline pass, nothing show.

The ex-servicemen gather for Ministry of Finance headquarters for Abuja, accuse government say dem no dey keep to their word.

One of the leaders of the protest, wey dem dey call Mama G, talk say:

“We no fit just sidon dey wait again. Dem promise us, but dem no do am. Na why we don come back for street, and this time e go heavy.”

This no be the first time dem dey protest. Over the years, many retired soldiers don vex say government dey neglect dem after all the work wey dem don do for Nigeria.

As at the time we file this tori, Ministry of Defence, Defence Headquarters and Military Pension Board never talk anything about the protest.
