Di forum stress say any arrangement for State Police must follow constitutional provisions, respect federalism and protect citizens’ rights. Dem add say ongoing consultations go help states present one united position on di matter.

Governors also receive presentation from di Federal Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning on di National Nutrition 774 (N-774) Initiative. Dem reaffirm dia commitment to tackle child malnutrition and improve nutrition outcomes across di country.

According to di forum, work still dey continue on di proposed National Nutrition Bill, while stakeholders dey engage to strengthen legal and policy frameworks for nutrition governance.

On agriculture and development finance, di governors receive briefing from di World Bank Country Office on di proposed Country Partnership Framework (CPF) for Nigeria from 2026 to 2032 and di Nigeria Sustainable Agricultural Value-Chains for Growth (AGROW) Programme.

Dem say di initiative go help boost agricultural productivity, strengthen value chains, encourage private sector participation and improve food security nationwide.

Di forum also approve state-specific interventions and call for better coordination among sectors like health, education, nutrition, water supply, sanitation, social protection and family support services.

For power sector development, governors discuss di proposed National Solar Super-Grid (NSSG) Initiative, wey aim to expand electricity access through large-scale solar power generation linked to a national transmission network.

Dem note say di project fit improve energy security, support industrialisation, strengthen state electricity markets and drive economic growth.

Di governors further reaffirm dia support for ongoing power sector reforms and promise stronger collaboration to ensure Nigerians get reliable and affordable electricity.

Di meeting end with governors pledging to continue working with federal authorities, development partners and other stakeholders to address key challenges affecting security, economic growth and citizens’ welfare across Nigeria.
