
Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, don congratulate Muslims across Nigeria and beyond as dem celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, urging citizens to embrace peace, sacrifice and national unity.
For him Sallah message released on Tuesday, Akume describe the celebration as special period for spiritual reflection, compassion and commitment to the values of Prophet Ibrahim.
The SGF call on Nigerians to use the Eid-el-Kabir celebration to pray for peace, stability and progress of the country.
According to am, the festival symbolise obedience, selflessness and strong faith in God, qualities wey important for national unity especially as Nigeria dey face economic and security challenges.
Akume also praise Muslims for their contributions to national development and peaceful coexistence across the country.
Him stress say Nigeria diversity suppose remain source of strength and not division among citizens.
The SGF urge Nigerians to promote tolerance, love and mutual understanding regardless of ethnic, religious or political differences.
Akume further call on citizens to continue supporting the policies and programmes of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration, saying ongoing reforms don already begin produce positive results for the country.
He add say government remain committed to improving welfare and living conditions of Nigerians.
The SGF also encourage Muslim faithful to show love and kindness to less privileged people during the Sallah celebration.
According to am, the spirit of sacrifice linked with Eid-el-Kabir should inspire citizens to care more for vulnerable people in society.
Akume later pray for lasting peace, unity and prosperity in Nigeria while wishing Muslims joyful, safe and successful Eid-el-Kabir celebration full of renewed hope for the nation.
