Vice President Kashim Shettima don call on state governments across Nigeria make dem quicken business-enabling reforms to fully benefit from the $750 million World Bank-supported State Action on Business Enabling Reforms (SABER) programme.

Shettima make the appeal on Tuesday during a stakeholders’ meeting on how to improve implementation of the SABER programme for the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

According to am, full implementation of the programme go help create a more transparent and predictable business environment, attract both local and foreign investors, and strengthen confidence in Nigeria’s private sector.

The Vice President explain say the programme also get potential to improve both digital and physical infrastructure, make access to land easier, strengthen commercial justice systems and increase competitiveness among states.

He stress say these reforms go reduce the cost of doing business and encourage more investments into different sectors of the economy.

“These outcomes go lead to more economic activities, higher productivity, job creation, increased internally generated revenue and better living standards for our people,” Shettima talk.

The Vice President add say state governments need to take advantage of the programme to unlock economic opportunities, attract capital and accelerate development at the subnational level.

He maintain say stronger collaboration between federal and state governments remains important to ensure the success of the SABER initiative and achieve sustainable economic growth across the country.

Shettima further note say business-friendly policies and reforms remain critical to President Bola Tinubu administration’s efforts to build a stronger economy, improve infrastructure and create more opportunities for Nigerians.
