Tinubu moves against terrorists after fresh military casualties as Bola Ahmed Tinubu hold emergency security meetings with top military chiefs and international partners over rising attacks in Nigeria.

The President meet with Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede, alongside one French military officer for closed-door discussion at the Presidential Villa for Abuja.

Sources say the meeting na part of efforts to strengthen collaboration and find solution to worsening insecurity across the country.

Tinubu also later hold another emergency meeting with service chiefs, including heads of Army, Navy, Air Force, Police, DSS and NIA.

The development follow fresh attack for Borno State, where insurgents use Improvised Explosive Device (IED) kill one colonel and six soldiers during operation.

Military authorities confirm say the attack happen during exchange of fire with terrorists, even as the commanding officer die while trying assess the situation on ground.

The President move also connect to earlier agreement with France to provide Nigeria with military equipment and training to fight insurgency in the North-East.

Meanwhile, security situation across Nigeria don raise more concern after recent airstrike wey reportedly kill over 100 people near Yobe-Borno border.

While military defend the operation as targeted strike against terrorist base, rights group like Amnesty International don call for independent investigation.

Government officials, however, insist say the location na major logistics hub for terrorist groups.

The latest developments show say Nigeria security challenges still serious, as government dey seek both local and international solutions.
