Tinubu to Address Nigerians on Democracy Day

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu go deliver a nationwide broadcast to Nigerians on Friday, June 12, as part of activities to mark this year’s Democracy Day celebration.

According to an official announcement, the President’s Democracy Day address go air by 7:00 a.m. through the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Radio Nigeria.

The special broadcast is expected to focus on the significance of Democracy Day, governance, national development and other key issues affecting the country.

Authorities also direct all television and radio stations across Nigeria to connect to the NTA and Radio Nigeria networks to ensure nationwide transmission of the President’s speech.

Democracy Day, celebrated every June 12, honours Nigeria’s democratic journey and commemorates the historic June 12, 1993 presidential election widely regarded as one of the freest and fairest elections in the nation’s history.

Nigerians are expected to tune in to the broadcast as President Tinubu addresses the nation on the occasion of the 2026 Democracy Day celebration.
