Federal Government don set up one new committee wey go carry all education unions join body talk to stop strike wahala for universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education.
The committee, wey Mahmud Yayale Ahmed dey lead, get the name “Expanded Negotiation Committee for Tertiary Institutions.” Dem inaugurate am for Abuja on Tuesday.
Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, talk say this new team go help government talk with all academic and non-academic unions together instead of doing separate meetings like before.
He talk say, “The new committee go make all the negotiation under one roof, make e easy to reach better agreement wey go last. We pick members wey represent all part of the education sector so nobody go feel left out.”
Alausa still reveal say government don provide secretariat and everything wey dem need to start work, and their first meeting hold on Tuesday, October 7.
He come add say President Bola Tinubu don give full support make dem settle all the matters quick and fair, saying, “President Tinubu talk say all our pikin must remain for school. This na Renewed Hope Agenda for action.”
Minister of Labour and Employment, Mohammed Maigari Dingyadi, hail the Ministry of Education for the inclusive way dem take handle the mata. He talk say true peace for education sector fit only come when all people wey e concern join talk together.
He advise committee members make dem act fair and open-minded, and make dem ensure say their talk bring lasting peace.
On him own part, the new committee chairman, Alhaji Mahmud Yayale Ahmed, thank the Federal Government for trusting dem. He promise say dem go work with honesty, transparency, and make sure their recommendation go help keep school calm and productive.
