Six local government chairmen for Bayelsa don resign from di Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after Governor Douye Diri announce say e don comot from di party.

Diri talk on Wednesday say e leave PDP for “very obvious reasons,” and confirm say members of him cabinet and di state house of assembly don follow am resign.

Soon after, di chairmen wey gather under di Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) announce their resignation during press conference for Yenagoa.

Kolokuma/Opokuma LGA chairman, Lelei Tariye Isaac, wey talk for di group, say di move na because of di deep crisis wey don scatter PDP for di state.

“We thank Bayelsans for di opportunity to serve for di past one and half years. Since our leader, Governor Douye Diri, don resign from PDP, we dey stand with am and we too don quit di party,” Isaac talk.

Other chairmen wey dey di press briefing na David Alagoa (Nembe), Target Isaiah Segibo (Southern Ijaw), Bulodisiye Ndiwari (Yenagoa), Isaac Onniye (Ekeremor), and Golden Jeremiah (Ogbia).

But Alice Allen Tangi (Sagbama) and Lucky Febo (Brass) no show for di meeting.

Bayelsa get eight local government areas, and now six don follow Governor Diri waka comot from PDP.
