Federal High Court wey dey Abuja don stop Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from holding their planned national convention wey suppose happen for Ibadan, Oyo State, on November 15 and 16.

Justice James Omotosho, wey deliver the judgment, support the case wey three PDP members carry come court — Hon. Austin Nwachukwu (Imo PDP Chairman), Hon. Amah Abraham Nnanna (Abia PDP Chairman) and Turnah Alabh George (PDP Secretary, South-South).

According to the judge, PDP no follow the 1999 Constitution, INEC guideline, and even their own party constitution before dem plan the convention.

The court talk say PDP no conduct correct state congresses before dem move to elect new national officers. Because of that, Justice Omotosho order PDP make dem first arrange their internal matter well and give the mandatory 21-day notice before dem fit hold another convention.

The three plaintiffs ask the court to stop the event, naming INEC, PDP, National Secretary Senator Samuel Anyanwu, National Organising Secretary Umar Bature, and national officers Ali Odefa and Emmanuel Ogidi, together with the NWC and NEC, as defendants.

The judge also dismiss the objection wey PDP raise, as dem talk say court no suppose enter their internal party issue.
