According to am, even though BVAS don bring big improvement for how elections dey run, network wey no balance across Nigeria still dey block smooth upload of polling unit results to INEC Result Viewing portal (IReV).
“BVAS no fit work pass di network wey e dey rely on,” Amupitan talk.
He add say INEC go continue to work with Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and network providers to find solution, and dem dey also look into new technologies wey fit help bridge the gap.
Prof Amupitan assure say BVAS don end identity theft, multiple voting and impersonation for elections, calling am one of the most important reforms for Nigeria democracy.
“BVAS na our frontline defence against identity fraud. With di biometric protection wey dey inside, only eligible voter fit get accreditation now. Impersonation no dey happen again,” he talk.
