Kontagora / Minna – Bishop of Kontagora Diocese and owner of St. Mary’s Private Catholic Primary and Secondary School, Most Rev. Bulus Yohanna, don confirm say the schoolchildren and their teachers wey kidnappers carry for Niger State don finally regain their freedom.

According to the Bishop, na Governor Umaru Bago personally call am to break the good news say the abducted pikin dem and their teachers don come out from captivity.

Though the Bishop no talk the exact number of people wey dem release, e confirm say dem dey expect the freed students and teachers to arrive Minna on Monday. From there, Governor Bago go officially receive dem for Government House.

This confirmation come through short statement wey Bishop media aide, Dan Atori, release on Sunday. The statement add say more details go come out as soon as the victims reach Minna.

Meanwhile, Federal Government on Sunday also talk say dem secure the release of about 130 schoolchildren wey gunmen kidnap from the school. Presidential spokesman, Sunday Dare, announce this one for him official X (formerly Twitter) page.

Sources earlier talk say the attackers come plenty, ride more than 60 motorcycles with one van, before dem shoot the school gatekeeper, leave am with serious injury.

Few days after the abduction, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) reveal say about 50 children manage escape from the kidnappers by themselves.
