
Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, don issue strong warning to National Secretary of All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Ajibola Basiru, make he stay away from Rivers State political matters.
Wike reaction follow comments wey dem attribute to Basiru, where he caution APC

National Vice Chairman (South-South), Victor Giadom, over alleged disrespect towards Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara. Basiru talk say di move na to curry favour with Wike.
Di comment come shortly after Wike recent “thank you” visit to Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Addressing residents of Oyigbo Local Government Area, Wike advise Basiru and other politicians make dem stop any action or statement wey fit cause tension for di state.
According to Wike, both APC and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) don align on one goal — to ensure President Bola Ahmed Tinubu win re-election for 2027 general election.
He talk say, “Make I warn those wey dey come Rivers State because dem hear say we get N600 billion. You come collect, then open your mouth dey talk anyhow.
“I dey talk am clear, carry dis message go give your National Secretary: leave Rivers State alone. Go ask people wey don try am before. No take our support for Mr President as joke. You must dey careful with di kind statement wey you dey make.
“Today, you dey enjoy for Osun, you no know di people wey work for am. You dey open mouth talk about Rivers State. Anything wey you see, take am.
“Go ask others wetin don happen to dem before. If your hand burn, no be me cause am. Dis state na no-go area. Take wetin you don take and stop unnecessary talk,” Wike add.
Di warning don add fresh tension to Rivers political space as political actors continue to position themselves ahead of 2027 elections.
