National Working Committee (NWC) of di ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) don set up one 73-man Central Coordination Committee to plan di party 2026 National Convention wey dem schedule for March 2026.
Chairman of Progressive Governors’ Forum and Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, go serve as Chairman of di committee. Chairman of Nigeria Governors’ Forum and Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, go be Vice Chairman, while Yobe State Governor and former Chairman of APC National Caretaker Committee, Mai Mala Buni, go serve as Secretary.
Di party National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru, disclose dis one for statement wey e release for Abuja on Monday night.
According to di statement, NWC take di decision during im 183rd meeting last Friday after wide consultations with statutory organs and key stakeholders inside di party.
All di 29 governors wey win election under APC platform na full members of di committee. Former APC National Chairmen, including Chief Bisi Akande, Senator Adams Oshiomhole and Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, also dey among di committee members.
Other top members include Senate President Godswill Akpabio; Speaker of di House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas; Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin; and Deputy Speaker, Benjamin Kalu.
Former Senate Presidents and former Speakers of di House of Representatives wey still dey APC, alongside serving and former principal officers of di National Assembly, also join di committee.
Members of di Federal Executive Council wey dey on di committee include Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bagudu; Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa; Minister of Information, Mohammed Idris Malagi; and Minister of Police Affairs, Senator Ibrahim Giadam.
