Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, don warn say di rising banditry and kidnapping cases for neighbouring Kwara State fit easily spill enter Osun if di police continue to seal di offices of di state Amotekun Corps.

Di governor urge di Nigeria Police make dem immediately unseal Amotekun offices for Osun so di security outfit go fit respond well to new threats, especially for rural and border communities.

Dis warning dey inside statement wey di governor spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, sign and release to journalists for Osogbo on Friday.

Reacting to recent kidnapping for Ora-Igbomina area, Adeleke say Osun security response don become weak because Amotekun offices still dey sealed and some senior officers don dey detained without trial for several months.

According to am, Amotekun don build strong experience in handling security challenges, particularly for rural and boundary areas. He add say di continued shutdown of di corps don create security gap wey criminals dey take advantage of.

Adeleke call on di Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, make e either charge di detained Amotekun officers to court over di alleged killings for Akinlalu community or release dem immediately. He also demand make di police unseal all Amotekun offices without delay.
