
President Bola Tinubu don approve fresh federal road projects, including immediate reconstruction of some major roads for Niger State and extension of Bodo-Bonny Road for Rivers State.

Minister of Works, David Umahi, make the announcement for statement wey him Senior Special Assistant on Media, Francis Nwaze, sign for Abuja on Thursday night.
According to Umahi, the roads wey go undergo reconstruction for Niger State include Mokwa–Bida Road (120km), Mokwa–Makeri Road (63km) and Bida–Labata Road (123.5km). Altogether, the three projects get total length of 306.5 kilometres.
The Minister explain say under the new arrangement, dem go use reinforced concrete pavement take build the roads to ensure say dem strong and durable for long-term use.
For Rivers State, the President also approve extension of Bodo–Bonny Road to link am directly with East-West Road. The project go be dual carriageway, built with concrete pavement and get solar-powered street lights.
Government talk say dem go award the contract through competitive bidding process to ensure transparency and quality delivery.
Umahi thank President Tinubu for the approvals, say the projects fall within important national economic corridors and go greatly improve connectivity, trade and development.
The Minister congratulate governors and people of Niger and Rivers States, plus all Nigerians wey go benefit from the projects. He also urge citizens to continue to support and pray for the President as the administration push to deliver infrastructure development across the six geopolitical zones of the country.
