
The ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC), don appoint Opeyemi Bamidele, wey be Senate Leader, to head the campaign council for the second-term ambition of Biodun Oyebanji, governor of Ekiti State.
Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) don already fix June 18 as the date wey people of Ekiti go vote for their next governor.
APC unveil one 57-member campaign council on Thursday to push Oyebanji second-term ambition. Some of the big names for the council include Adeyemi Adaramodu, chairman of Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs; Cyril Fasuyi, chairman of Senate Committee on Establishment and Public Services; and Adeoye Aribasoye, Speaker of Ekiti State House of Assembly.
Also inside the council na Biodun Olujimi, former deputy governor of the state.
Chairman of APC for Ekiti, Sola Elesin, go serve as chairman of the campaign council, while Oyeniyi Adebayo, Chief of Staff to the governor, go work as secretary.
For statement wey come from him Media and Public Affairs Directorate, Bamidele accept the appointment and promise say him go lead the campaign well to make sure say Oyebanji win second term.
According to am, the campaign go also give APC chance to show Nigerians the achievements of Oyebanji government for Ekiti and the progress wey the party don record for national level.
Bamidele thank party leaders for trusting am with the responsibility, saying the appointment na big honour but also serious task.
Him talk say the campaign council go work closely with APC structure for Ekiti and the national secretariat of the party to make sure say the governor return to office.
Bamidele also say Oyebanji second-term ambition go show the results of the administration performance for the state.
According to am, the governor don maintain peace, unity and political stability since he begin lead the state.
He add say Oyebanji na inclusive leader wey dey carry everybody along regardless of political party or religion, noting say the governor deserve another term to complete the development projects wey him government don start for Ekiti residents.
