For Abuja, JAMB UTME 2027 personal computers don become major education update as Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board announce say candidates go fit use dia personal laptops and devices to write UTME starting from 2027.

JAMB Registrar, Ishaq Oloyede, disclose dis during 2026 Policy Meeting on Admissions into Tertiary Institutions on Monday for Abuja.

According to am, di new system go operate under “Bring Your Own Device” arrangement, where candidates go use dia personal computers for exam while JAMB go insert special flash drive to stop examination malpractice.

Oloyede explain say di innovation go make exam process cheaper, easier to manage and solve common complaints from candidates about computers suddenly going off during exams.

He add say JAMB still dey prepare more technology upgrades before 2027 to ensure smoother examination process across di country.

Meanwhile, JAMB also reveal top performers for 2026 UTME results.

Jesudunsin Owoeye from Ekiti State emerge highest scorer with 372 marks out of 400 after writing di exam for Ogun State.

She choose University of Lagos as first choice to study Medicine and Surgery.

Second position go to Ikenna Enwere from Imo State with 370 marks. He select Nile University to study Computer Science.

Ayomide Bamisile from Ondo State come third with 369 marks and choose Federal University of Technology Akure for Software Engineering.
