2027: Fubara Break Silence, Reaffirm APC Membership

Siminalayi Fubara don dismiss reports wey claim say him don dump All Progressives Congress for Nigeria Democratic Congress ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The Rivers governor describe the rumours as false and misleading, insisting say him still remain committed member of APC despite ongoing political realignments.
Reports had earlier circulated online alleging say APC screening committee rejected Fubara during screening exercise for serving governors and say the governor angrily left the venue.

Reacting to the reports on Wednesday, Fubara say people should stop spreading misinformation based on social media rumours and personal interpretations.
“I still be member of APC and nothing don change. People should stop using social media stories to misrepresent me,” the governor talk.
“I never go anywhere. I remain committed to the party and its overall interest,” him add.
Governor Inspects Health Projects
Fubara make the statement during inspection visit to newly constructed General Hospital and remodelled Neuropsychiatric Hospital for Rumuigbo, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The governor was taken round the facilities by Vincent Wachukwu, wey showed am different sections of the hospitals including:
- hospital wards
- ICT centre
- conference hall
- students’ hostel
- staff quarters
Fubara Praises Healthcare Projects
The governor express satisfaction with completion of the projects, describing them as important interventions to improve healthcare services for residents.
According to am, the General Hospital became necessary because many communities around the area lacked nearby healthcare facilities.
“The nearest hospital before na UPTH and e far from many residents here. We decide to use available space build General Hospital wey go serve nearby communities,” Fubara explain.
Him say the projects go improve access to quality healthcare for residents of Rumuigbo, Rumuola, Rumuolumeni and surrounding communities.
“People Welfare Come First”
In statement issued by him Chief Press Secretary, Onwuka Nzeshi, Fubara say the administration remain focused on projects wey directly impact the lives of the people.
“What matters pass na doing things wey go positively touch the lives of our people. Our people must always come first,” the governor said.
