According to the commission, the accreditation exercise na for journalists and media houses wey plan to report the governorship election scheduled to hold on Saturday, August 15, 2026.
INEC advise interested media organisations to submit their applications through the official accreditation portal.https://imap.inecnigeria.org/
The commission disclose say the portal go remain open from June 2, 2026, and go close on Sunday, August 2, 2026.
INEC warn say no late application go be accepted as the portal go automatically shut down by 12 midnight on the closing date.
The electoral body also make it clear say there will be no extension of time after the deadline.
Media organisations and journalists wey need further information or assistance have been advised to contact INEC through the designated enquiry lines.
