Wike Fires Back at ADC, Defends Tinubu Road Projects

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, don reply the African Democratic Congress (ADC) over the party recent criticism of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, insisting say the current administration don record major success for road infrastructure.

Wike react after seeing one ADC press statement wey criticize President Tinubu. According to am, the party itself indirectly acknowledge the President’s achievement by saying dem “no go chop road alone.”

He say good roads remain important because without better road network, Nigerians no fit easily reach hospitals, schools and farms.

The FCT Minister also direct part of im response to ADC National Chairman, David Mark.

According to Wike, the road linking Agwanga to Makurdi was awarded during the period when David Mark serve as Senate President for eight uninterrupted years under the then ruling government.

Wike allege say during that period, ordinary Nigerians struggle to travel to Makurdi because of the poor condition of the road, while David Mark dey use helicopter to visit im hometown.

He, however, claim say under President Tinubu’s administration, motorists can now drive freely to Makurdi because of improvements on the road.

The remarks come as political exchanges continue between the ruling government and opposition parties ahead of the 2027 general elections.
