Tinubu Swear In 8 New Federal Commissioners for RMAFC, National Population Commission
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu don swear in eight new Federal Commissioners to serve for the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) and the National Population Commission (NPC).
The swearing-in ceremony happen on Monday for the State House, Abuja, as President Tinubu administer the Oath of Office to all the appointees.
According to the Presidency, two commissioners join RMAFC while six commissioners take oath for the National Population Commission.
The two new RMAFC commissioners na Hajiya Amina Ibrahim Gamawa from Bauchi State and Abdullahi Mukhtar Muhammad from Kaduna State.
For the National Population Commission, the six commissioners wey take oath na Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya (Zamfara), Kolawole Oladipupo Alabi (Ekiti), Prof. Sadiq Isah Radda (Katsina), Suleiman Umar (Jigawa), Dr. Isiaka Alada Yahaya (Kwara) and Chiso Abdullahi Dattijo (Sokoto).
The Presidency describe the appointees as experienced professionals wey don serve Nigeria for different capacities across public service, academia and private sector.
Hajiya Amina Ibrahim Gamawa na lawyer and journalist wey don work with agencies like the National Assembly, Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) and National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). She also help establish the National Blood Transfusion Service for Nigeria.
Abdullahi Mukhtar Muhammad don previously serve as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), after holding several leadership positions for pilgrimage administration.
Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya, former Speaker of the Zamfara State House of Assembly, also play key role during the COVID-19 pandemic as Chairman of the Zamfara State COVID-19 Task Force.
Kolawole Oladipupo Alabi bring over 25 years of experience for Information Technology and Supply Chain Management. Before this appointment, he serve as Executive Commissioner for Corporate Services at the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC).
Prof. Sadiq Isah Radda na Professor of Sociology and Criminology for Bayero University, Kano, and former member of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC).
Suleiman Umar retire from the Nigeria Immigration Service as Deputy Comptroller General after many years of service.
Dr. Isiaka Alada Yahaya spend over three decades with the National Population Commission before rising to become Director of Public Affairs.
Meanwhile, Chiso Abdullahi Dattijo, former Deputy Governor of Sokoto State, return as Federal Commissioner after President Tinubu approve im reappointment for a second tenure.
The appointments form part of the Federal Government effort to strengthen important national institutions responsible for revenue allocation, fiscal management and population administration across the country.
