Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, don officially dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) go join the All Progressives Congress (APC). The governor announce him decision during one state-wide broadcast wey he address give the people of Enugu State.
Governor Mbah talk say him move to join the ruling APC na because he wan connect Enugu State directly with the central government for better development.
“There comes always a time when everyone must make a bold choice to determine their destiny. Today, after a long reflection, we have made a decision to leave the Peoples Democratic Party and join the All Progressives Congress,” the governor talk.
He thank PDP for all the years of support and opportunity wey the party give am take win election, but say this one na time to move forward for the sake of progress.
“Leadership demands difficult, even painful decisions, in the service of higher principles and goals,” he add.
Governor Mbah talk say the APC platform go help am serve the people of Enugu better and go open door for more development, collaboration and growth.
He also hail President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the kind support and policies wey don benefit Enugu State since Tinubu enter office.
Mbah no waka alone — all House of Assembly members, councillors, chairmen of local councils and many other political appointees for the state follow am cross over to APC.
Reports also dey say Bayelsa State Governor, Duoye Diri, own defection to APC don already finalise and e go happen soon. Earlier this year, Delta Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and Akwa Ibom Governor Umo Eno don already join the ruling party with all their officials.
