The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) don quietly increase the price of petrol for Lagos and some other parts of the country from ₦865 to ₦992 per litre.
As at the time we dey file this report, NNPC never talk any official reason why the price jump again.
When TheStreetNewspaper visit some NNPC filling stations for Lagos, attendants dey busy adjust their fuel pumps to show the new price. For example, for the NNPC station wey dey Ogunusi Road, Ojodu Berger, attendants confirm say dem receive instruction to change am to ₦992 per litre sharp-sharp.
But for another NNPC station for Ibafo, along Lagos–Ibadan expressway, the old price of ₦875 per litre still dey display, even though dem no dey sell fuel to motorists. Most of the NNPC stations across the area no dey dispense petrol at all, causing small panic among drivers and commuters.
This latest increase don spark fresh worry among Nigerians wey already dey struggle with rising cost of living and transport fare wahala.
