olice Service Commission (PSC) don promise say dem go properly investigate one Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG), Emmanuel Aina, after people accuse am of bribery and abuse of office.

The wahala burst on Thursday when protesters wey carry placards from Centre for Human Rights and Advocacy in Africa Network (CHRAAN) storm PSC head office for Jabi, Abuja, demand better probe into the matter.

According to their petition, CHRAAN talk say for 2024, one woman wey dem call Asabe Waziri, staff of NNPC, wey court don order make she commot from two flats for Maitama, Abuja, come get help from AIG Aina to force enter the same house again.

The group talk say AIG Aina even use police officers, including one CSP Francis, to break enter the house despite say court don talk make nobody touch the property until Supreme Court hear the case.

Dem also accuse am say e intimidate and arrest the property lawyer, Victor Giwa, Esq., two times between June and July 2024 just to help Asabe collect the house back by force.

CHRAAN still claim say AIG Aina later arrest Giwa again for Lagos on 19 September 2025, detain am for over 10 days without carry am go court, which no follow the Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA) 2015.

The group call the act “illegal, wicked, and total abuse of power,” adding say the AIG even detain one Godwin Okey in place of the lawyer.

Reacting to the matter, PSC spokesperson Ikechukwu Ani talk for statement say the Commission don receive the complaint and dem go handle am well to make sure justice happen without fear or favour.

“The Commission go look into the complaint and make sure say justice serve both sides well,” Ani talk.

E still add say PSC go continue to hold police officers accountable and dem don even introduce whistle-blowing policy to help Nigerians expose corruption and misconduct among police officers.
