The hearing wey suppose happen for former Kano State governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje bribery and money wahala case don jam road again on Monday as the matter no fit continue for court.
The Kano State Government carry Ganduje, him wife Hafsat, and six other people go court with 11-count charge wey involve bribery, conspiracy, and money diversion wey reach billions of naira.
Other people wey dey the charge include Abubakar Bawuro, Umar Abdullahi Umar, Jibrilla Muhammad, Lamash Properties Limited, Safari Textiles Limited, and Lasage General Enterprises Limited.
Prosecution lawyer, Adeola Adedipe (SAN), talk say government don ready well to open dem case as witnesses already dey court.
“My Lord, we don ready to start. Witnesses dey here. Make we continue,” Adedipe yarn.
But Ganduje lawyer, Madam Lydia Oluwakemi-Oyewo, beg the court make dem give small time, say dem never fit serve all new paper wey dem file properly.
Other lawyers for the defendants still talk say dem get motion and appeal wey still dey court, so dem no fit continue yet.
Justice Amina Adamu-Aliyu vex small as she talk say this delay don too much. She order all the lawyers make dem file all dem paper before next court date.
“All of una must complete una filing before next hearing date,” the judge warn.
She come adjourn the case go November 26, 2025, for hearing of all pending applications.
This Ganduje case don turn one of the biggest corruption trials for Nigeria, as e concern how money waka during him time as governor for Kano State.
