Justice James Omotosho for di Federal High Court, Abuja, bin tell Kanu make e seek better legal advice after e continue to talk say di seven-count charge wey dem give am no valid.
At first, Kanu bin refuse to defend himself, but for Wednesday hearing, e tell di court say e go consult im legal teambefore e take any step.
Kanu mention say im lawyers be Nnaemeka Ejiofor, Aloy Ejimakor, Maxwell Okpara, and Mandela Umegborogu.
Di judge come adjourn di matter go November 7, making am di fourth time wey di court don give am chance to open defence or leave am.
For October 2025, Kanu don sack im former legal team wey Kanu Agabi (SAN) lead and decide say e go defend himself. E even list 23 witnesses before — including Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Minister Nyesom Wike — but later change im mind, talk say di law wey dem use against am no dey valid again for Nigeria.
For Wednesday court sitting, Kanu still maintain say di Terrorism Prevention and Prohibition Act wey dem take charge am don already repeal, so e no fit defend himself under am.
“That Terrorism Act don repeal. I no fit defend myself under law wey no dey again,” Kanu tell di court.
Meanwhile, government lawyer Adegboyega Awomolo (SAN) beg di court make dem order Kanu to start im defence or waive am. But Justice Omotosho talk say e go “bend backward” again in di interest of justice, make Kanu get time to meet im lawyers before next hearing.
