Edo State Govment don give approval make dem share ₦1 billion soft loan to market women wey wan grow their business and make life better for dem.
Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Madam Eugenia Abdallah, yarn this one for Benin City during press conference wey she take talk about wetin Govnor Monday Okpebholo don do under him SHINE Agenda.
She talk say the program go help women wey dey for grassroots – na dem dey closest to market and consumers – make dem fit grow their hustle well-well and help Edo economy strong pass.
According to her, about 54,000 women go benefit from training, microfinance support, and skills program. She hail Govnor Okpebholo for the way e dey carry women matter serious, as 35% of cabinet positions don go women.
“This administration don show say empowering women no be mouth, na real action,” Abdallah talk.
She still mention say the ministry don build strong protection for women wey suffer domestic violence, rape or trafficking. Some women don even get new hope through shelter and rehabilitation support.
Abdallah add say training centre for Uromi and Igarra don produce over 140 graduates this year, while the Evbuomodu centre dey under upgrade to train more women and youth.
She thank Govnor Okpebholo and the Edo First Lady office for their strong support, talk say the govment dey build Edo where every woman fit shine, live well, and reach her full potential.
