Troops wey dey under Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) don rescue 74 corpers wey almost fall victim to Boko Haram kidnap along Buratai–Kamuya road for Borno State.
Lt.-Col. Sani Uba, wey be the Media Information Officer for OPHK, yarn for statement say the corpers — 36 men and 38 women — dey travel for three buses when the motors spoil for night around 9:05pm on Tuesday, near one area wey kidnappers dey operate.
Uba talk say dem CCTV camera wey the military dey use for monitoring catch some suspicious movement for the area, na so soldiers rush go the place.
“When soldiers reach there, dem see say na NYSC corpers dey stranded because their buses don break down. The troops come secure the area sharp-sharp and carry all of dem go safe side before Boko Haram or ISWAP go fit show face,” Uba talk.
The soldiers later carry the corpers go Buratai military base make dem rest small before dem continue their journey.
The Theatre Commander, Maj.-Gen. Abdulsalam Abubakar, hail the soldiers for their fast response wey stop wetin for turn serious wahala.
He still promise say the Nigerian Army go continue to protect life and property for the North-East area.
