PDP No Happy as Same Judges Dey Handle Party Cases — Omotosho, Others

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) don raise alarm over how Justices James Omotosho, Peter Lifu, and Mohammed Abdulmalik dey always get cases wey concern di party for Federal High Court, Abuja.

For petition dated November 19 and signed by National Secretary Taofeek Arapaja, PDP ask Chief Judge of Federal High Court, Justice John Tsoho, make dem no continue dey assign all di party cases to di same three judges. Di party talk say Abuja Division get 12 judges, yet almost all matters wey dem file or wey dem dey face dey go only these three judges.

Di petition mention how Justice Omotosho stop PDP from holding national convention because dem never follow party rules. Justice Lifu also stop di convention till Sule Lamido, former Jigawa governor, collect nomination form to contest National Chairman.

Despite di orders, PDP hold di convention, relying on Oyo State High Court order from Justice Ladiran Akintola. Di conflicting rulings don cause more wahala inside di party, as factions loyal to PDP Governors Forum and FCT Minister Nyesom Wike dey fight for control.

PDP talk:

“We dey plead say no more cases go dey assigned to these three judges, because justice must not only dey done, e must dey seen to be done by people.”

PDP clarify say dem still respect judiciary but dey reason public confidence for future cases wey concern di party.
