Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) don confirm say e don receive petition from billionaire businessman, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, against Chief Executive Officer of Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), Engr. Farouk Ahmed.

According to statement wey ICPC spokesperson, John Odey, sign on Tuesday, Dangote submit di petition through im lawyer earlier for di day.

“ICPC dey confirm say we receive formal petition today, Tuesday, December 16, 2025, from Alhaji Aliko Dangote through im lawyer. Di petition dey against di CEO of NMDPRA, Alhaji Farouk Ahmed,” di commission tok.

ICPC add say dem go subject di petition to proper investigation as required by law.

For di petition, Dangote accuse Farouk Ahmed of corruption, abuse of office and misuse of public funds. One of di allegations be say di NMDPRA boss spend more than $7 million of public money for di education of im four children for different elite schools for Switzerland.

Dangote allege say di school fees pay upfront for up to six years, without any clear evidence of lawful income wey fit explain such huge spending.

According to am, di action amount to embezzlement, diversion of public funds and abuse of office. E therefore urge ICPC make dem investigate di matter well and prosecute Farouk Ahmed if dem find am guilty.

Dangote also stress say di issue don already enter public space and need urgent and decisive action from di anti-graft agency.
