United States Embassy for Abuja don warn Nigerians say anybody wey involve for visa fraud fit face serious punishment, including permanent ban wey go stop the person from ever entering United States.
Di embassy drop di warning on Monday for dem official X handle, cautioning visa applicants make dem no try lie or submit fake documents during visa application process.
According to di embassy, any form of false information or forged document dey against US immigration law and fit carry lifetime consequences.
“Visa fraud get serious consequences. If you lie or submit fake documents, e fit lead to permanent visa ban under US immigration law,” di embassy tok.
Di warning come as United States Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Richard Mills, meet Nigeria Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Yusuf Tuggar, to discuss bilateral relationship and areas wey both countries fit continue to work together.
Di embassy say United States still ready to maintain strong relationship with Nigeria and continue cooperation on matters wey concern both countries.
