Governorship candidate of Allied Peoples Movement for Ekiti State, Joseph Anifowose, don withdraw from the race and declare support for Governor Biodun Oyebanji ahead of next month governorship election.

Anifowose announce him decision on Tuesday during campaign rally of All Progressives Congress for Igede Ekiti, headquarters of Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government Area.

According to am, the decision come because of the developmental projects and leadership style of Governor Oyebanji administration.

The former APM candidate praise Oyebanji for promoting unity among political leaders and focusing on development across Ekiti State.

“If you check Governor Oyebanji work for the last three and half years, him don bring former governors together for the development of Ekiti. Oyebanji na divine arrangement and God-sent leader,” Anifowose talk.

Him add say the leadership of APM for the state don direct party members across local governments to support Oyebanji re-election bid.


APC Leaders Confident of Victory

Governor Oyebanji, Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele and Senate spokesman Yemi Adaramodu express confidence say APC go win the governorship election comfortably.

During rallies for Ilawe Ekiti and Igede Ekiti, Oyebanji say ongoing state and federal government projects show APC commitment to development.

The governor mention projects like:

  • Ikere-Ilawe Road
  • Ikere-Igbara Odo Road
  • Igbara Odo-Ikogosi Road
  • Itawure-Aramoko-Igede-Ado highway reconstruction

Oyebanji Praises Tinubu

Oyebanji also commend Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing many Ekiti indigenes into important positions for the federal government.

Him urge residents of the state to vote massively for APC during the election and continue supporting the party at both state and national levels.

Meanwhile, Ekiti APC Chairman, Sola Elesin, describe Oyebanji as a performing governor wey deserve another term in office.
